Founded in 2015 by Mr. Leon Nduwayezu, AgroPlast Ltd is a dedicated waste recycling company based in Gahanga Industrial Zone, Kicukiro District. Our mission is to protect the environment by collecting, recycling, and transforming plastic wastes into valuable, eco-friendly products used daily across Rwanda.

At AgroPlast, we turn plastic waste—often seen as unusable garbage—into raw materials that drive local economies, create jobs, and support environmental sustainability. Our innovative approach helps reduce plastic pollution and promotes a circular economy.

Our Products

Manufactured to meet high standards, our trash bags are designed for hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and household use. They are durable, environmentally responsible, and tailored to meet diverse client needs.

Our greenhouse sheetings and nursery tubing support agriculture by fostering healthy plant growth while promoting eco-conscious farming practices. They are durable, environmentally responsible, and tailored to meet diverse client needs.

Our solar pellet-based cookstoves significantly reduce firewood consumption, lowering carbon emissions and supporting environmental protection. These stoves are distributed widely, including to refugee camps.

AgroPlast is expanding its product line to include plastic pipes for electrical installation, pavers, and plastic bricks—a move that will further support sustainable construction and infrastructure development.

Environmental & Social Impact

What some regard as waste, we see as an opportunity. Our work significantly reduces plastic waste that harms ecosystems and contributes to cleaner communities.

“Working at AgroPlast has improved my livelihood, allowing me to afford health insurance and support my family while making a difference for the environment.”

Our Operations & Impact

We collaborate with individuals and cooperatives across the country, who collect plastic wastes and bring them to our factory. Our team then cleans and sorts the plastics based on their intended use, creating jobs at every stage—from waste collectors to factory workers.

Ensuring Quality & Compliance

We work closely with relevant authorities to ensure our products meet safety and quality standards. Only authorized users are permitted to utilize our plastic products, ensuring responsible distribution and use.
