Kigali, Rwanda — In a global effort to promote environmental sustainability, Rwanda has joined the international community to observe the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies and the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. Leading companies like AgroPlast Ltd are playing a crucial role in this initiative, demonstrating their commitment to eco-friendly practices and innovative solutions for a cleaner, safer planet.
Mr. Nduwayezu Leon, CEO of AgroPlast Ltd, emphasized the company’s dedication to environmental responsibility. “Manufactured to meet high standards, our trash bags are designed for hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and household use. They are durable, environmentally responsible, and tailored to meet diverse client needs,” he said. “Supporting clean environments starts with products that are both effective and eco-friendly.”
AgroPlast’s efforts extend beyond waste management. The company supplies greenhouse sheetings and nursery tubing that support sustainable agriculture by fostering healthy plant growth while promoting eco-conscious farming practices. “Our agricultural products are durable and environmentally responsible, enabling farmers to cultivate more sustainably,” Mr. Nduwayezu added.
In addition, AgroPlast is advancing energy-saving solutions with its solar pellet-based cookstoves. “Our cookstoves significantly reduce firewood consumption, lowering carbon emissions and supporting environmental protection efforts. We are proud to distribute these stoves widely, including to refugee camps where energy efficiency makes a real difference,” explained the CEO.
Looking ahead, AgroPlast is expanding its product portfolio to include plastic pipes for electrical installations, pavers, and plastic bricks. “These new products will further support sustainable construction and infrastructure development across Rwanda and beyond,” Mr. Nduwayezu noted.
